Dan Sartain @ the Loft, Cambridge, February 2007

I didn't really know what to expect at this gig but I thought I'd pop along. It was nicely busy and pretty much everyone there was really into Dan's music - it was real thrill for me to feel the buzz. He was rock n roll, blues, rockabilly and 50s swing all in one and it was a great combination. The sound was smooth and raw in all the right places and what with people dancing and smiling and singing all over the place, I got whipped up into the fun of it all. I really must buy the album to give it another listen. If you like Gallon Drunk and Nick Cave and Holly Golightly, you'll love him. If you don't, you should give it a go anyway - it's good to try new things ;0)
