I am Kloot @ The Loft, Cambridge, Jan 2007

This was the first gig of the year for me and I was very excited. But, being a new convert to Kloot I wasn't expecting to be moved all that much. How wrong was I? Extremely. I was knocked off kilter by how....... I can't quite find the words ....... how unbelievably talented, witty, intimate and accomplished all of the songs sounded. It was a stripped down Kloot, just John and Pete playing an acoustic style set, and it worked perfectly. The songs shone out as poetic, dark, bruised and real - and I felt every single sentiment. The fact that they played "Dead Man's Cigarettes" just because I shouted it out made it even more special. A superb start to the year; a gig that's going to be hard to beat.
